Sample: Adult Jewish Households in Duvall, Nassau, St. John and Clay Counties, FL

Sample Size: 601.

Sample Notes: Definition of Jewish household: A Jewish household was defined as one that contained someone who was born, raised, or is currently Jewish.

Three sampling frames were used: random digit dialing (RDD), Distinctive Jewish Names (DJN) from the telephone book, and a list of members from the Jacksonville Jewish Federation (JJF).

  • In all, 209 cases came from the RDD frame, 226 cases from the DJN frame, and 166 from the Jewish Federation list. In data file, variable is "source."

  • Data are weighted ("wf" in data file) to adjust for multiple phone lines in contacted households, geographic bias caused by financial constraints on the areas to be included, and to adjust the DJN and List interviews to resemble the RDD interviews.

  • Using "wf" weight in data file, the N used for analysis is 567: RDD 175, DJN 225, List 167.

  • Weights are not extrapolated to estimated numbers.
